Join bird nerd Topher Stephens on a casual morning bird walk along the trails and boardwalks of Highlands Botanical Gardens. We will practice identifying birds by sight and sound, keeping our eyes peeled for freshly arrived migrant species such as Hooded Warblers, Blue-headed Vireos, and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.
This event is FREE & OPEN TO ALL. Loaner binoculars available.
This event is a collaboration between Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust and the Highlands Biological Station
Hike: Slow and easy 1 mile round trip with varied terrain.
What to Bring: Water, comfortable walking shoes, a rain jacket and curiosity! Optional: binoculars and birding field guide
